M2 Chip Powers New iPad Air and iPad Pro Lineup
Apple has announced new M2-powered iPad Air models at its Let Loose event today. The sixth-generation models have the M2, a chip with a faster 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU. Apple claims the new iPad Air is nearly 50% faster than the previous generation. The new iPad Air also comes in new blue and purple finishes, along with starlight and space gray.
Pricing and Availability
The 11-inch iPad Air starts at $599, while the 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at $799. Both models are available for pre-order today and will be available in stores later this week.
Apple also unveiled a new M4-powered iPad Pro 2024 and new accessories for each device, including a new Apple Pencil.
